We've all lost a very special man and friend, whom we'll never forget. Great memories with John over the years, with so many of them while attending the Bills games. Our tailgating area was known as the "bullpen", a title that John invented, during a visit. The name was perfect. Shortly after, Kathie Dorman formed our Bill's backers Chapter, complete with a banner with "The Bullpen" and that familiar charging (bull) Buffalo. It became a marker by which our friends, many from Oakfield, could spot and stop by for a little blue and a lot of laughs. John gave me that banner, which he had gotten previously from Bob Dorman, during our last visit to Wheatville. Upon John's insistence, he supplied us with all of the wood for our burning barrel at every game, from the Mill's warehouse of wood. We never bought one stick- ever.
At one game, Judy and I had mentioned that we were looking into building a landing pad built for our camper, and hiring a contractor. John and Bob said no you're not- and then instructed us as to what size and how much gravel to have dropped off that week. The next Sunday (their only day off from the County and their farms) , Bob drove his tractor/front loader in from his farm. John, Bob and Carol showed their construction experience and expertise and had it dug out and constructed in about 2 hours- unbelievable! We're forever indebted.
It is a privilege to have John for a friend. God bless both you Carol and John.
I just hope that John saves us a seat- I'm sure he will.
