Obituary of Peter F. Gawlik

Peter F. Gawlik, 64, of Oakfield, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Unity Hospital in Rochester. Peter was born October 24, 1953 in Batavia, a son of the late Stanley and Mary (Yanik) Gawlik. Peter was a field technician with Farm Fresh First in Bergen and also worked at Ben's Kitchen Bath & Appliances in Batavia. He liked watching sports and playing golf. Peter always enjoyed laughing and making those around him do the same. Survivors include his lifelong companion, Cheryl Scopano of Oakfield; two sons, Evan (fiancée Michele Hall) Gawlik of Texas and Aaron Gawlik of New York; one brother, Bobby Gawlik of Charlotte; two nieces, Lindsay (Brad) Leddon and Jenel (Donald) Maerten, a nephew, Jesse Gawlik and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Peter is a brother of the late Tony Gawlik and Joey Gawlik. There are no prior calling hours. Peter's Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at Saint Padre Pio Parish, St. Cecilia's Site, 56 Maple Avenue, Oakfield.
